About our monitor
If you saw AgentServiceDirectoryMonitor in your logs, or AgentServiceAtlasMonitor before 17 October 2026 (our earlier name), this page explains what it does and how to stop it. An opt-out covers both.
What it does
- It checks services listed in our catalogue, and services that list themselves in public directories for agents, such as x402 facilitators' discovery lists.
- For a directory-listed service it sends one unpaid request per scheduled interval (from hourly for the most-used services to monthly; see the schedule), and never more than two requests to one host in five minutes: a
GET, or aPOSTwith no body when the directory says the service is called that way. It expects an x402 payment challenge (HTTP 402). - It never pays, never sends data, and never follows redirects to other sites.
- Results for directory-listed services are published as measured evidence on our services page, alongside the registry's own figures. Registry descriptions are not republished.
Opt out
Enter the hostname you want us to stop contacting. It takes effect immediately for directory-listed services. For a service in our public catalogue, please also use the correction form on its page.
